Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, the world's largest fluid power distributor, is seeking a Hydraulic/Pneumatic Specialist Trainee to develop technical knowledge and customer-facing skills. Trainees will shadow current Specialists, solve real-world issues, and become trusted advisors to customers in the assigned territory.

The program focuses on problem solving, system building, and troubleshooting, culminating in a Fluid Power Specialist role offering technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree and/or working toward 2-year or 4-year degree.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Wamiliarity with hydraulic/pneumatic components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydraulic & pneumatic knowledge through training and supervised hands-on problem solving.
• Develop customer presence as a technical consultant through observational visits to customers.
• Assist development of the Fluid Power knowledge base including applications, interchanges, case histories, documentation of value-added activities, market and competitor activities.
• Assist refinement of the developmental program to increase effectiveness for those who follow.
