Confidential Employer in the Washington, DC area seeks a senior FLSA litigator to lead nationwide wage-and-hour litigation from intake to trial. You will oversee complex class actions and collaborate with top trial attorneys to shape strategy and outcomes.

You will manage depositions, motions, and settlements, delivering high‑stakes advocacy and publishing thought leadership to elevate the firm’s national reputation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive federal court FLSA litigation experience — plaintiff‑side or in‑house/solo backgrounds welcome for the right candidate
• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (multi‑state a strong plus)
• Experience with collective certification, class certification, and class motion practice
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Willingness to handle nationwide cases and manage a heavy caseload independently with collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead FLSA collective actions and Rule 23 class actions from intake through resolution, managing all phases of federal court litigation
• Conduct fact investigations and client interviews to build strong, well‑developed cases
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions, pretrial submissions, and discovery across multiple jurisdictions
• Take and defend depositions and represent clients at hearings and oral arguments
• Develop damages models with experts to maximize recovery for clients
• Drive strategic settlement discussions, including mediation and negotiations with opposing counsel
• Contribute to firm thought leadership through articles, CLEs, and webinars to raise the firm’s profile
• Manage a dynamic caseload with urgency and strategic precision, collaborating with a high‑performing team

Location

Note

Candidates must have 5+ years of federal court FLSA litigation experience with substantive, hands‑on case management. This is a non‑negotiable requirement. Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required. Multi-state admission is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (multi‑state strongly preferred)
• 5+ years of substantive federal court FLSA litigation experience — plaintiff‑side or in‑house/solo backgrounds welcome for the right candidate
• Demonstrated experience with collective certification, class certification, and class motion practice
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Strong ability to manage complex caseloads independently while working collaboratively
