Whitley Penn, a leading audit, tax and advisory firm, seeks an Associate for the Forensic & Litigation Services – Commercial & Intellectual Property Disputes team in Houston. You will assist in economic damages analyses, document review, and financial modeling, supporting senior staff and preparing exhibits for review by managing directors.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance/economics, 0–2 years in public accounting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics; advanced degree a plus.
• CPA license preferred or other suitable credentials as needed.
• 0–2 years of public accounting experience showing progression in complexity and assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with team members, clients, and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Assist on calculating economic damages in matters including IP disputes and other commercial disputes.
• Organize, review, and summarize documents produced by clients.
• Research company records, filings, industry data, and product/technology features.
• Develop financial models and prepare exhibits summarizing financial information.
• Support senior staff in delivering complete reports and supporting documents.
