Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Flow Coordinator to assist manufacturing operations and maximize throughput by coordinating part flow and improving operator efficiency across multiple functions. The role requires organizing kanbans, buffers, and priority parts, and dispatching items from various areas while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include prioritizing parts, staging fixtures for grinding and X-ray, and training to perform direct labor tasks if needed.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing production experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and follow instructions/specifications on work orders, Technique Cards, Process Control Procedures, and other technical instructions; ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Demonstrated work experience in functions requiring attention to detail preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working independently or with minimal supervision preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in difficult conditions including noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, and awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Organize and restock kanbans.
• Organize buffers.
• Ensure operators are working parts in priority order. Report deviations to Back End Production Coordinators for correction.
• Dispatch finished parts from all production/team areas.
• Prioritize and dispatch parts from the IN area.
• Dispatch parts from buffer.
• Fixture parts for Finish Grind, R/W Grind, Welding, and X-ray.
• Maintain fixture storage area.
• Assist Back End Production Coordinator in prioritizing (tagging) parts.
• Alert Back End Production Coordinator when buffers begin to overfill.
• Direct Labor functions may include Rework Grinder, Production Grinder, Belt Grinder, Penetrant Line Operator, Sandblaster, Mapper.
• Safely operates all equipment and tools; follow safety rules and report problems.
• Performs other tasks as directed.
