Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Eastford, CT seeks a Flow Line Tech to work in a flowline moving parts from one process to another, deburring metal details with hand tools and preparing parts for reaming, countersinking and marking.

You will stand at a workstation, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be eligible to work in the U.S. ITAR/EAR compliance required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions within the work order.
  • Preferred qualifications include strong mechanical skills, ability to be on your feet all day, using air and electric tools to remove metal, willingness to learn, and blueprint reading as a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deburr metal details using hand tools to remove burr from cutting.
  • Countersink and ream holes with presses and hand tools.
  • Marking parts using electronic etch or dot peen.
  • Inspect own work using basic inspection equipment and quick-check gaging.
  • Use Kaizen to flow parts and drive down costs.
  • Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time according to Company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

About The Opportunity

As a Flow Line Tech, you will work in a flowline where parts move from one process to another. In the role you will be removing the burr from parts that were lasered before moving to subsequent processes such as reaming, countersinking, and marking. You will be on your feet all day at a workstation, but you will be moving frequently.

Location: Eastford, CT

This is a full-time role 7:00 am to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders whorequireemployer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions within the work order
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Mechanical skills
  • Ability to be on your feet all day
  • Ability to use air and electric tools to remove metal
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Understanding and reading basic blueprint skill is a plus
  • Self-starter/motivated team player
Physical Requirements
  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently stand and walk
  • Must have the ability to use basic hand tools.
