HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville is seeking a Flow Cytometry Technologist to perform flow cytometry and molecular diagnostic studies under supervision, applying laboratory concepts to ensure timely and accurate patient care.

Requires an Associate’s Degree in Science; a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology is preferred. Three years of hematology experience are required, and one year of flow cytometry experience is preferred. Excellent benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years of hematology experience required.
• 1 year of flow cytometry experience preferred.
• Regulatory compliance knowledge (CAP, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform flow cytometry and molecular tests under supervision.
• Register specimens and prepare samples.
• Maintain quality control and document results.
• Operate LIS and ensure timely reporting.
• Ensure turnaround times for STAT procedures.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and audits.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Monitor reagents and inventory.
