Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a mid-level Scientist II on a 12-month contract (W2). The role focuses on generating scientific data and customer-facing collateral to support commercialization of Biosciences products.

You will work under guidance of senior scientists on flow cytometry studies, product evaluations, and cross-functional collaboration, developing expertise in immunology, flow cytometry workflows, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology with 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands-on lab experience from academia, internships, industry positions, or equivalents.
• Exposure to flow cytometry, immunology, cell culture, molecular biology, or related techniques.
• Basic understanding of immunology and experimental design principles.
• Experience with data analysis software such as FlowJo is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• BD flow cytometers experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support flow cytometry experiments following established protocols.
• Prepare biological samples, cell cultures, reagents, controls, and instrument setups.
• Collect, organize, and analyze flow cytometry data.
• Assist in optimizing staining panels and assay workflows under guidance.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and study documentation.
• Contribute to scientific presentations, reports, and customer materials.
• Conduct literature searches and summarize findings relevant to projects.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Product Management, and Scientific Applications teams.
• Support studies that demonstrate product performance and utility.
• Maintain compliance with policies, training, and safety procedures.
• Promote a safe work environment through EHS programs.
