Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a US Remote-based Flow Cytometry Analyst to join our Research Triangle Park, NC team. The role requires data analysis from flow cytometry for leukemia and lymphoma specimens, with emphasis on quality assurance and independent as well as team collaboration.

The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology and 1+ year of clinical lab testing experience, plus appropriate certifications.

• Minimum of 1+ year of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Certification MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLS(AMT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine high complexity analyses and interpretations of flow cytometry dot plots for leukemia/lymphoma specimens.
• Analyzes data produced in the lab and ensures quality assurance and control.
• Maintains documentation and adheres to safety and QA policies.
• Travels onsite for onboarding and training; able to work overtime as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a US Remote-based Flow Cytometry Analyst to join our team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Work Schedule

Wednesday - Saturday, 9:00 pm - 7:30 am

Job Responsibilities

• Performs routine high complexity analyses and interpretations of flow cytometry dot plots in the testing of leukemia and lymphoma specimens
• Analyzes data that comes from the lab
• Properly performs and documents quality assurance, quality control
• Properly prioritizes cases according to policy
• Adheres to all safety, quality control and documentation policies
• Recognizes problems that may adversely affect patient care and takes appropriate action
• Participates in required Continuing Education activities
• Serves as an example and resource to other testing laboratory personnel
• Assists in training of personnel
• Shows willingness to perform duties until they are complete
• Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 1 or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience
• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLS(AMT) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years experience in Flow Cytometry in a clinical lab setting
• Previous experience with leukemia/lymphoma analysis
• SCYM(ASCP) certification

Additional Job Standards

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
• Able to travel onsite for onboarding and training
• Able to attend required onsite meetings:
  • Local analysts are required to attend 4 meetings per year
  • Analysts who are not local are required to attend 2 meetings per year with travel expenses approved

Work From Home Requirements

• Private, HIPAA-compliant, dedicated home office workspace that is not shared with others
• Agree to include home address in case reporting (CMS requirement)
• Provide internet of 100 Mbps minimum
• Ability to work remotely effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment

Pay Range

• $30.00 - $35.00 per hour plus shift differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
