Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a dependable team member to handle processing, transferring, packing, loading, shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound materials, while upholding sanitation and food safety standards in a fast-paced milling facility.

Shifts are 12 hours, 4 days per week (5am–5pm), with days to be determined. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading trucks/rail cars, maintaining documentation, and ensuring GMP and safety rules are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in flour milling, food processing or related manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• CDL preferred.
• Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform duties while wearing a respirator.
• Ability to communicate with internal/external customers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and related computer use.

Responsibilities

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and maintain an audit-ready department/facility.
• Ensure food safety and GMP compliance.
• Perform general sanitation tasks (blowing down, vacuuming, mopping, washing).
• Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections (packer changes, forklift checks).
• Transfer, pack, load, and unload flour/feed using appropriate equipment including forklift operation.
• Load bulk and bag flour trucks and rail cars.
• Complete required documentation accurately.
• Operate forklifts daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
