Job summary

The Bouqs Company in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a store-based Florist responsible for crafting Bouqs designed bouquets and arrangements while assisting customers and maintaining brand standards in a collaborative partnership space. You will prepare and assemble floral designs, handle live flowers, and ensure freshness and quality.

The role supports store visuals, inventory, and cross-channel sales, including bridal and events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of floral experience with a focus on floral designs
• Availability to work up to 24 hours per week including mornings, evenings, and weekends (3-4 shifts per week)
• Work during Vacation Blackout Policy dates
• Knowledgeable and able to work with live floral product
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and climb a ladder up to 8 ft.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, answer questions, locate merchandise, and recommend products to ensure a pleasant, engaging customer experience
• Be knowledgeable about the Bouqs brand, history, products, and cross-channel offerings
• Prepare and assemble floral arrangements following Bouqs design specifications
• Inspect all floral elements for freshness and quality per Bouqs standards
• Maintain store visual standards and neat product displays per guidelines
• Facilitate sales in POS and cross-channel sales including bridal and events
• Manage daily inventory including receiving live shipments and processing returns as needed
• Participate in scheduled inventory tasks and store-wide counts
• Communicate feedback to corporate management to support retail success
• Assist with off-site events as needed

As a Florist at our store, you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to executing beautifully designed floral bouquets and arrangements. Our store operates in a partnership space, and we place great importance on maintaining respectful and positive relationships with our partners. Your expertise in floral preparation and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring that every bouquet aligns with The Bouqs brand and design standards while being considerate of our partners' needs.

Florist reports to the Store Manager and report indirectly to the Retail Corporate Team when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers, answering questions, locating merchandise, and recommending product to ensure the entire customer experience is pleasant, engaging, and efficient
• Knowledgeable in and confident speaking to the brand, brand history, product, and cross-channel offerings
• Prepare and assemble floral arrangements and bouquets following the design specifications from Bouqs by using your skills in handling various flowers, foliage, and plants to create high-quality products
• Inspect all floral elements to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with Bouqs standards to ensure consistency in bouquet appearance and overall presentation
• Maintaining store visual standards throughout business hours by ensuring products are displayed neatly according to visual guidelines
• Facilitate sales and client capture in the POS system, as well as cross-channel sales including bridal and events
• Manage daily inventory including receiving live shipment and processing out product, as needed
• Participate in scheduled inventory tasks, including store wide physical inventory counts
• Communicate internal and client feedback upwards to corporate management to drive the overall success of the retail organization
• Assist with off-site events, when needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of floral experience as a florist with a focus on executing floral designs, prior retail experience preferred
• Availability to work up to 24 hours per week including early mornings, evenings, and weekends (3-4 shifts per week)
• Work during the Vacation Blackout Policy dates
• Knowledgeable and able to work with live floral product
• Ability to lift up to lift/move 30 lbs. and to climb a ladder up to 8 ft.

Compensation & Perks:
