Job summary

SynerData's Akron flower shop is seeking a talented Florist Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with our florists to create beautiful floral arrangements and assist with customer orders while delivering friendly service.

The role is part-time with potential for full-time, requires weekend availability, and eligibility to work in the United States. No housing is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and creating floral arrangements for various occasions.
• Ensure flowers and materials are cared for to maintain freshness.

• Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies and place orders as needed.
• Keep the shop clean and organized at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service and recommend suitable arrangements.
• Assist in training new staff or interns.

Florist Assistant

Our flower shop in Akron is seeking a talented and motivated Florist Assistant to join our team. As a Florist Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced florists to create beautiful floral arrangements, assist with customer orders and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and creating floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, funerals, etc.
• Ensure all flowers are properly cared for and maintained to ensure freshness and quality
• Assist with taking orders from customers, answering phone calls and inquiries
• Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies, place orders when necessary
• Keep the shop clean and organized at all times
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting them with their needs and recommending appropriate floral arrangements
• Assist in training new employees or interns

Requirements

• Previous experience in a florist shop or related field is preferred
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Knowledge of different types of flowers, plants and their care requirements
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
