Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities that foster an engaging learning climate.
• Identify, select, create, and modify instructional resources to meet diverse student needs.
• Assess curricular needs and develop improvement plans.
• Maintain effective record‑keeping procedures.
• Provide a positive environment encouraging active student engagement.
• Communicate with students, parents, and professionals within established timelines.
• Collaborate with peers through team teaching, meetings, staff development, communities of practice, and committees.
• Model professional and ethical standards with students, parents, peers, and community members.
• Ensure continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships measured by FLVS district/school surveys.

• Engage in blended learning models, working online and in classroom instruction across multiple schools and districts; may be required to report to an assigned school.
• May provide instructional tutoring.
• Demonstrate efficient work habits, meet deadlines, honor schedules, and coordinate resources and meetings effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned content area OR proof of active enrollment in a Florida‑approved EPI or MAT program AND either a valid Florida State‑issued Statement of Eligibility or a valid Temporary Certificate.
• Endorsements: As required by the Florida Department of Education.
• Experience: Three years of teaching experience (preferred).
