Job summary

Burrowes Insurance is seeking Florida-licensed Property & Casualty agents who already hold a Personal Lines and/or Commercial book of business for a strategic agency partnership. This independent contractor role focuses on sales, relationships, and book growth while the agency handles servicing.

Ideal candidates reduce administrative workload, maintain strong client and referral networks, and aim for long-term growth with a service-driven partner.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Property & Casualty license.
• Existing Personal Lines and/or Commercial book of business.
• Proven experience in Personal Lines and/or Commercial insurance sales.
• Strong client, referral, and carrier relationships.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Ethical, professional sales practices.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with focus on long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Transition an existing Personal Lines and/or Commercial book to the agency in compliance with carrier, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Produce new Personal Lines and/or Commercial insurance business throughout the state of Florida.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and referral partners.
• Focus on new sales production and growth.
• Collaborate with the agency’s service team, which will handle: endorsements, certificates of insurance, renewal quoting and processing, and ongoing customer service requests.
• Utilize agency systems and carrier platforms for quoting and binding new business.
• Participate in onboarding and training related to agency workflows and carrier markets.
• Maintain compliance with Florida insurance regulations and agency standards.
• Support retention efforts through proactive relationship management.
