Job summary

Weston & Sampson, Fort Myers, FL, seeks a technically strong civil/site engineer to join our Fort Myers office. This role focuses on Florida stormwater, land development, and permitting experience, with opportunities to take on increasing technical responsibility.

We are open to candidates with 6–8+ years of experience, or strong 4–6 year candidates with Florida-specific expertise who are ready to step into a larger role, within a growing Florida practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar.
• Florida-specific stormwater, land development & permitting experience.
• PE license preferred; EIT with path to licensure considered.
• Strong communication and written presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, and drainage designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Lead Florida stormwater design, including analysis, modeling, and reports.
• Model pre/post-development site conditions with StormWise for regulatory compliance.
• Compile local land development codes and state/regional permitting criteria.
• Prepare and support permit applications for local and state approvals.
• Support construction administration: review submittals and RFIs; coordinate with design team.
