Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets Inc. is seeking a Floral Associate to join our neighborhood store team in Washington. You’ll listen to customers, assist with floral needs, and craft bouquets while ensuring fresh stock and attractive displays.

You’ll help maintain the floral department, advise on care and handling, and support a welcoming shopping experience for our community. Prior flower-handling knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years or older
• Pre-employment background check required
• Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques
• Familiar with plants’ nutritional needs and life spans

What You'll Do

• Listen to customers to gain a thorough understanding of what they need
• Go the extra mile to engage customers
• Examine sales floor to ensure floral department is well-stocked
• Order flowers, plants, and other greenery for use.
• Receiving shipments, and then snipping and displaying our flowers.
• Creating beautiful and stunning bouquets and floral arrangements.
• Advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of floral arrangements.
• Maintain inventory levels of floral department and restock as needed.
• Ensure that flowers and plants are properly watered and stored to prevent wilting.
• Foster a productive working environment.
• Motivate and inspire staff while facilitating personal growth.
• Set strategic long and short-term goals and evaluate outcomes.
• Guarantee the highest levels of quality are met.
• Staying updated with the latest trends in the floral industry.
• Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older
• Complete a pre-employment background check

These Qualifications Will Help You Stand Out

• Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles and flower conditioning.
• Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous.
