Rosauers Supermarkets in Yakima, WA is seeking a floral associate to welcome customers and craft beautiful bouquets. You will listen to customers, engage them, and help keep the floral department well-stocked and inviting.

Responsibilities include receiving shipments, trimming and displaying flowers, advising on care, maintaining inventory, and staying current with floral trends to ensure top-quality arrangements and a memorable shopping experience.

• Examine sales floor to ensure floral department is well-stocked
• Order flowers, plants, and other greenery for use.
• Receiving shipments, and then snipping and displaying our flowers.
• Creating beautiful and stunning bouquets and floral arrangements.
• Advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of floral arrangements.
• Maintain inventory levels of floral department and restock as needed.
• Ensure that flowers and plants are properly watered and stored to prevent wilting.
• Foster a productive working environment.
• Motivate and inspire staff while facilitating personal growth.
• Set strategic long and short-term goals and evaluate outcomes.
• Guarantee the highest levels of quality are met.
• Staying updated with the latest trends in the floral industry.
• Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older
• Complete a pre-employment background check
• Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques
• Acutely familiar with plants' nutritional needs and life spans.

These qualifications will help you stand out

• Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles and flower conditioning.
• Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous.
