Job summary

Longwood Gardens is seeking a full-time Floral Services Associate to support the Floristry team in executing high-end floral installations for events, exhibitions, and special occasions within a dynamic public garden. Responsibilities include producing arrangements, collaborating with the Floristry Manager, and managing multiple projects with deadlines.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in floral services, knowledge of floral mechanics, and experience with large installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in floral services.
• Knowledge of floral mechanics and sustainable design practices.
• Experience with large-scale installations or exhibition work.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Produce floral arrangements for corporate, public, and internal events.
• Collaborate with Floristry Manager and team to interpret design directives.
• Manage multiple projects with changing priorities and timelines.
• Maintain floral workspaces and inventory; ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including transporting/installing pieces.
• Communicate professionally with internal departments and external vendors.
