Job summary

ShopRite of Milford is seeking a Floral Clerk to support the Floral Department with pricing, stocking, and merchandise rotation. The role emphasizes customer service, proper product handling, and adherence to company policies.

Essential duties include maintaining department sanitation, assisting customers, and following receiving and pricing procedures. The position requires physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods, with opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and QA standards in the Floral Department
• Greet customers and provide prompt service, pricing, stocking and product presentation
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing and restocking products
• Differentiate flowers and plants and related merchandise
• Keep display cases stocked and visually appealing
• Handle damaged products per policy and assist in shrink control
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise within the department
• Check refrigeration for proper performance and report issues
• Operate department equipment safely and report problems
• Adhere to safety, policy, and regulatory standards
• Dress according to policy and participate in company programs
• Maintain attendance and punctuality; work overtime as needed
• Stand at workstation for long shifts and operate equipment safely
• Only 18+ to operate certain tools
