Job summary

ShopRite of Montgomery in New Jersey is seeking a Floral Clerk to price, stock, and rotate merchandise in the Floral Department. You will maintain cleanliness, assist customers, and ensure proper restocking and display of flowers and related products.

The role requires reading and communicating in English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position emphasizes safety, friendliness, and efficient service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English fluently.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs and carry items.
• Willingness to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department sanitation and QA standards, including securing helium tanks, sweeping, mopping, removing cardboard and refuse as needed.
• Operate a baler and compactor.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service; fill balloons, prepare, and price merchandise.
• Receive, code date, prepare, store, and price-mark products ensuring quality and rotation.
• Identify flowers/plants and advise on care and usage.
• Keep display cases stocked and attractively presented; sign and price merchandise.
