Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a friendly floral department associate to help keep displays fresh and appealing while greeting customers and assisting with special requests. You will stock, price, and merchandise the floral area and maintain sanitation standards.

Assistance with deliveries, proper refrigeration, and collaboration with coworkers to ensure smooth department operation are part of the role. High school diploma or GED required; prior experience is not necessary.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps floral department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand. Smiles and greets customers, discusses needs, makes suggestions, handles special requests and resolves concerns promptly.
• Sets up displays, ensures fresh, saleable product with correct pricing and signage. Handles spoiled or damaged product per procedures; creates arrangements on the sales floor.
• Follows merchandising guidelines for advertised items and uses displays to drive sales.
• Maintains sanitation by following cleaning schedules and department guidelines; ensures areas and counters meet health/OSHA requirements.
