Job summary

Buehler in Canton, Ohio seeks a qualified Floral Designer for the Floral Department. Primary duties include floral design work, ordering, receiving, displays, special events work, seasonal promotions, plant and merchandise care, training, and customer service on the sales floor.

Secondary duties cover for the Section Head when absent. Availability must be 20+ hours per week, including nights and weekends, with FT D certification and design experience.

Responsibilities

• Floral design work for daily needs and events.
• Ordering, receiving, and displaying product in the Floral Department.
• Support for seasonal promotions and special events; maintenance of plants and merchandise.
• Provide training and customer service on the sales floor.
• Cover for Section Head when needed.

Job description

FLORAL DESIGNER: Qualified Floral Designer working in the Floral Department. This person's primary duties include floral design work, ordering, receiving, displays, special events work, seasonal promotions, plant and merchandise care, training, and customer service on the sales floor. Secondary duties assume related activities as required or assigned including covering for the Section Head in his or her absence.

1. Availability: Must be available to be scheduled 20+hrs a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
2. Personal Qualifications: F.T.D. minimum - Design experience required.
3. Physical Demands: Much bending, stooping, carrying, etc.; repetitive lifting to 30#; occasional lifting to 50#.
