Job summary

Kroger is seeking help in the floral department to assist with design and merchandising of floral items, fill customer orders, and provide excellent service. You will greet customers, answer questions, and help select items while maintaining a clean and organized department.

Responsibilities include packaging orders, operating the cash register, and following safety and company policies. Weekend and holiday flexibility is required to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, labels and training materials.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and work with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist and greet customers promptly and provide great service.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Help design and create floral arrangements and/or other items for orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Assist customers in locating items and making selections.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Keep carts, tools, and supplies organized and in place.
• Maintain floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Adhere to company policies and safety laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures; flexible for weekends/holidays.
