Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a Floral Department Manager to lead a full-service floral operation in a retail environment. You will oversee design, sales, inventory, and staff training, while collaborating with catering, bakery, and marketing teams for events and promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four or more years of related experience in floral department or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to off-site venues as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Manages the floral department, including training and developing partners; schedules, assigns work, and addresses performance issues.
• Reviews historical data to forecast floral sales and promotions; monitors inventory and profitability.
• Accountable for floral sales, labor, and meeting financial objectives.
• Creates and arranges floral designs for bouquets and events with strong customer focus.
• Provides consultations to customers on price and selection for events from small to large scales.
• Maintains plant stock, quality, and sustainability throughout purchasing and storage.
• Plans and sources products to ensure in-stock conditions and inventory control.
• Builds product displays for events and promotions to drive sales.
• Travels to off-site venues to design and set up floral arrangements.
