Job summary

Royer’s Flowers in Carlisle, PA is seeking a friendly Floral Consultant to join the sales team. You will interact daily with customers in the shop and over the phone, recommending floral and gift items and entering orders into the computer.

Responsibilities include wrapping, packaging, housekeeping, and assisting with displays. The company provides a comprehensive training program, a competitive base salary with commissions, opportunities for pay increases, and a 30% floral discount.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent personal hygiene.
• Clear telephone speaking voice.
• Neat and legible handwriting.
• Basic math skills for prices from lists, discounts, and items.
• Ability to read and apply policies.
• Typing at least 15 wpm.
• Ability to handle irate customers.
• 1 year related experience with silk/dried and giftware preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Complete sales training and satisfactorily complete evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Daily contact with customers in the shop and on the telephone.
• Questioning and suggesting appropriate floral/gift products during customer contact.
• Entering flower orders and purchases into the computer.
• Wrapping and packaging floral products for customers.
• Housekeeping – keeping shelves clean, dusting, sweeping, and cleaning other areas when required.
• Preparing displays with cleaning, trimming, foiling and pricing.
• Assisting with display set-up and floral presentations.
