Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Floral Clerk to assist customers with floral orders, prepare arrangements, and maintain an attractive department. You will handle in-store and phone orders, stock, and basic POS transactions while delivering friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires flexible availability including nights and weekends, with an emphasis on customer service and teamwork in the Floral Department.

Qualifications

• Customer service ability and willingness to learn.
• Six months of similar or related work experience preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with floral orders in person or by phone.
• Prepare and replenish floral products and arrangements.
• Process orders with confidentiality of sender, recipient, and costs.
• Maintain department appearance and stock levels; assist with deliveries and invoices.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Maintain department cleanliness and safety standards.
• Answer phone and provide friendly service; support other tasks as needed.
