Job summary

Hy-Vee Floral Clerk in the Floral Department offers a friendly, fast-paced environment where you assist customers with floral orders in person or by phone, craft beginner arrangements, and keep the department stocked and visually appealing.

We provide training; no extensive experience is required. You will deliver warm, attentive service, follow Hy-Vee's guidelines, manage daily order paperwork, and help ensure joyful moments for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Less than high school diploma accepted or equivalent experience.
• Six months of related work experience preferred; training provided.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently during shifts.
• Basic math for handling orders and payments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with floral orders in person or by phone.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish floral items and small arrangements.
• Process orders with confidentiality on sender, recipient, and costs.
• Review floral products for freshness and anticipate daily product needs.
• Maintain department cleanliness and appearance, including coolers, counters, floors, and sinks.
• Deliver orders and manage the daily delivery list.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code and department guidelines.
