Job summary

Heinen's, Inc. in University Heights, OH is seeking a part-time Floral Associate to assist in the Floral Department, handle ordering, stocking, and merchandising, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role offers flexible hours with Sundays through Saturdays 8a–8:30p, up to 36 hours weekly, and opportunities for promotion within a family-owned grocery retailer known for its premium products.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sense of urgency and ability to work independently to achieve daily tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production driven with the ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work non-traditional five-day schedule, including weekends.
• Able to work up to 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Acquire and share knowledge of Floral Department.
• Write orders with effective pars and planning.
• Work as a team to complete daily tasks, including culling, QC, scanning, shrink, order writing, stocking, rotating, and merchandising.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Comply with all personal and food safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Responsible for working as a team in order to complete daily tasks as needed, including culling the department for quality control, scanning, and recording shrink, order writing, stocking, rotating, and merchandising.
