Job summary

Harmons Grocery in Salt Lake City is seeking a part-time Floral Associate to sell fresh floral items and deliver remarkable customer service. This role supports the Floral Manager and upholds quality standards and department profitability.

You will handle deliveries, maintain product display, assist with custom orders, and collaborate with store teams to ensure safety and cleanliness while meeting holiday and weekend needs.

Responsibilities

• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, especially ad items.
• Keeps the floral department clean and sanitized to company standards.
• Receives fresh flower deliveries and verifies quality of delivered products.
• Displays and merchandises floral products.
• Creates custom floral orders including upgrading bouquets and corsages.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers.
• Completes tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Sets a professional example and communicates with Floral Manager and Store Director.
• Maintains safety, sanitation, and productivity standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

$15.00 - $17.10 PER HOUR

PART TIME 24 HOURS A WEEK FLEXABLE ON AVAILABILITY BESIDES

NEED FULL AVAILABILITY ON FRIDAYS.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to sell Harmons' fresh floral items by providing remarkable customer service. In addition, this person will ensure that the floral department maintains quality standards and profitability. This person will support the Floral Manager and know all aspects of the floral department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services in the floral department
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the floral department
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the floral department is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets company standards for appearance
• Receives fresh flower deliveries from the Distribution Center and other plant deliveries. Verifies quality of delivered products
• Displays, merchandises, and upgrades floral products
• Ensures displayed items are fresh, watered, and rotated appropriately
• Creates custom floral orders including upgrading bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and other special orders
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Sets a professional and positive example to others
• Communicates openly and frequently with the Floral Manager, Store Director, and Floral Trainer
• Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
