You will inspect quality, manage splices, adjust tensions, and prep fiber glass for production while maintaining safety and a clean workstation.

Responsibilities

• Change out rolls and cores, operate winders, unwinders, belt press, calendar, lacquer, stacking equipment.
• Inspect and monitor quality of processed material.
• Activate roll transfer from AGV to machine.
• Splice new roll into existing roll per standard operating procedure.
• Perform perfect splices every time.
• Adjust tensions as needed based on process.
• Setup core for new roll.
• Prep and stage fiber glass as needed for production.
• Remove and clean fiber glass prep area and perform splices.
• Monitor splice coming through machine and manage.
• Send completed core to cut station and remove waste from core.
• Activate/monitor roll or slab transfer from machine to AGV.
• Must follow the quality management system policy and procedures.
• Communicate production or quality issues to appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean and efficient workstation.
• Assist with line changeovers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning in area.
• Operate lift truck, overhead crane, hoist; inspections and reporting of issues.
• Job rotation and relief of other team members.
