Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking an Associate Merchant to lead the strategic vision for the flooring category across the U.S. You will plan, forecast, budget, and maximize margins while shaping nationwide assortments for stores and online.

In this role, you will source vendors, negotiate terms, work with Inventory, Planning, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising, and translate data insights into action. Travel may be required as part of market coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on merchandising experience with a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Deep knowledge of the vendor landscape, sourcing models, and pricing strategy.
• Strong negotiation skills that create long-term value for the business.
• Sharp commercial instincts and ability to forecast market trends ahead of competitors.
• Leadership that drives cross-functional alignment and high-quality execution.
• Comfort managing multiple moving parts while delivering on details and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision for the flooring category: planning, budgeting, forecasting, and maximizing margin.
• Build trend-right product assortments reflecting customer needs across all regions.
• Directly source and negotiate with vendors to secure best products at best prices.
• Partner with Inventory, Planning, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to bring strategies to life.
• Collaborate with Regional Merchandising leads for tailored assortments per market.
• Drive decisions through data: analyze performance, trends, and customer behavior.
