Job summary

Empire Today is seeking an Assistant Installation Manager to oversee in-home and business-to-business flooring installation projects. You will ensure product, supplies and contractor resources are properly allocated for each project and manage customer expectations before, during, and after installation to deliver top-quality results.

You will recruit and onboard independent installer talent, coordinate with managers, customers and employees, monitor subcontractor performance, resolve issues,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong computer systems skills including Microsoft applications and order management software.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
• Experience with flooring installations is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Team player able to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Locate, evaluate and onboard independent installer talent to meet customer demand for soft and hard surface skillsets.
• Liaise between managers, customers and employees.
• Regularly evaluate customer satisfaction of subcontractors’ work and adjust allocations accordingly.
• Foster strong relationships with installation contractors and coaches for continuous improvement.
• Audit projects to ensure materials align with the sales contract.
• Direct subcontractor allocation based on licensure, qualifications and geography.
• Attend pre-loadout and post-loadout meetings to report status and opportunities.
• Ensure timely loadout of installation subcontractors and collaborate to resolve issues.
• Manage change orders, site visits, and payments with customers.
• Coach subcontractors to meet delivery expectations and safety standards.
