Job summary

Ritsema Associates in West Michigan seeks an experienced Flooring Superintendent to oversee field operations on multiple flooring projects. You will lead foremen and crews, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality across job sites with daily travel.

Responsibilities include supervising flooring teams, coordinating with estimators and project managers, reviewing plans, managing material procurement, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction management training preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial flooring materials and installation.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the commercial flooring industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and on-time project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise flooring project operations and foremen across multiple sites.
• Lead and manage field personnel to meet schedule and budget.
• Attend weekly superintendent meetings to coordinate manpower and assignments.
• Review project plans, specifications, and allowances before job start.
• Coordinate procurement of long-lead materials with estimators and purchasers.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Represent the company professionally on all job sites.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support project success.
