Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician 1 to service, maintain, and repair our equipment.

You will clean, inspect, and perform preventive maintenance, while coordinating with the leadership team to ensure on-time delivery and safe operation. The role requires 1–3 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• Experience with IC engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess safety-awareness and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins and minor repairs when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and details equipment for rent-ready status.
• Performs full-service maintenance on all equipment and diagnose simple mechanical problems.
• Maintain safe work environment and perform duties in accordance with safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse area.
