Job summary

United Rentals in Orlando, FL is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair flooring equipment, and to demonstrate equipment to customers. You will help with pickup/delivery and support the service department.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, teamwork, and the ability to lift 45 lbs. The Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division offers opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
