Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Designer to meet with customers, assess project needs, and craft design concepts that reflect personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

You will guide clients through product selections and create complete, functional design solutions for residential and commercial projects. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of design or retail/sales experience, strong math and communication skills, and proficiency with standard software.

Qualifications

• 1 year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
• Degree in Design is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store
• Providing tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including concise communication to customers
• Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals
• Enthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling best practices with store employees
• Engage in current and emerging design trends in your market
• Understand and utilize design applications i.e.; Salesforce, Online Scheduler, MyProject
• Perform other duties as assigned
