Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor and support design projects.

You’ll conduct design appointments to determine needs in tile, wood, stone, and accessories, helping customers create coordinated design solutions for residential and commercial spaces. The role partners with store leaders to maximize sales goals and expand the design services brand, with base pay starting at $15.00 per hour and potential for higher starting pay based on

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• High school diploma and/or GED.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor & Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
