Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure components, manage supplies, and ensure the assembly line runs safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes following standard work, maintaining quality, and keeping accurate production records. The ideal candidate has basic math skills, a high school diploma or GED, and is at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operate hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area; ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report issues.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer’s specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
