Job summary

DRW is seeking a Floor Trader in Chicago to participate in a comprehensive training program spanning the Cboe trading floor and DRW’s trading desk. You will gain exposure to floor-based and voice trading, work with experienced traders and brokers, and contribute to real-time market analysis and decision support.

You will analyze order flow, market activity, and broker behavior to uncover opportunities while developing tools and models to improve trading performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with strong interest in financial markets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to make thoughtful decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to learn from feedback; prior trading experience helpful but not required.
• Proficiency in Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze order flow, trading activity, and broker behavior to identify patterns and opportunities.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance tools, models, algorithms, and systems for trading analysis and risk management.
• Collaborate with traders and engineering teams to define requirements and build market-beating tools.
• Monitor market activity and communicate timely market information to the team.
• Research new market opportunities and contribute ideas to the team.
• Take increasing ownership of trading decisions and risk as you gain experience.
