Job summary

Coreworks, a Compass Group company, is seeking a part-time Floor Technician in the Pittsburgh area to perform floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment, with duties including stripping and refinishing and burnishing.

This role requires prior floor care experience, knowledge of equipment, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits include uniforms, free coffee, and training opportunities; the schedule is part-time with details provided at interview.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Cleans carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Coreworks is hiring immediately for a part timeFLOOR TECHNICIAN position.

• Schedule: Part time schedule. Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays; hours may vary. Further details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous stripping and waxing experience preferred.

• Pay Range:$18.13 per hour to$20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
