Job Description

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining, restoring, and operating industrial floor care equipment in assigned locations. Responsibilities may vary based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workers.
2. Anticipate and respond to customer needs.
3. Apply proper procedures for hard floor care, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing, following hard surface floor maintenance principles.
4. Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
5. Operate industrial floor care equipment as scheduled for large area cleaning.
6. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all types of floor surfaces.
7. Process municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste properly, including rendering infectious waste as MSW.
8. Remove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies and equipment. Disinfect receptacles and carts as needed.
9. Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures as per local regulations.
10. Adhere to appearance standards, including wearing the required uniform and PPE during work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role is preferred, with knowledge of floor care equipment and use.
