Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a Floor Technician for a full-time role at ES St Vincent Indianapolis. The position runs Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm with rotating weekends.

Prior housekeeping/floor care experience is required, and the fixed pay rate is $16.50 per hour. The Floor Technician will maintain hard-surface floors, operate industrial equipment, and handle carpet care as part of a hospital support team that serves patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures on hard floors (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Summary
