Job description

Floor Technician – Lehigh Valley Health Network

Location: 206 East Brown Street, East Strousburg, PA 18301 (Lehigh Valley Health Network). Full‑time position.

Schedule: Monday – Friday with rotating weekends. Shift: 5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. (details provided at interview).

Pay Range: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hard‑surface floor maintenance and apply proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate industrial floor care equipment and automated cleaning systems for large floor areas.
• Clean carpets and upholstery using shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, and related techniques.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Essential Functions

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and proper procedures.
• Operate various industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
