We are hiring immediately for full-time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions at MercyOne Genesis, 1227 East Rusholme Street, Davenport, IA 52803. Applications accepted online only. The full‑time schedule runs Monday–Friday with rotating weekends; hours may vary. No experience required – we provide training. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
