Job summary

A healthcare services provider is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain and restore floors at the Georgia War Veterans Home. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing floor surfaces in high-traffic areas, as well as communicating effectively with other facility staff. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k with company match.

• Professional demeanor necessary for working with residents.
• 1 year experience in a relevant field.
• Requires 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floor surfaces in the facility.
• Sanitize areas with potential biohazardous waste.
• Communicate with facility personnel regarding maintenance needs.
• Utilize industrial or commercial grade cleaning products or equipment.
• Works in all areas of the facility.
• Moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors.
• Communicates with maintenance personnel and other facility personnel.
• Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holiday when necessary as well as in other positions as needed.
• May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Job Summary

Maintain or restore floors in highly trafficked areas.

Essential Functions

• Clean, maintain, and/or restore floor surfaces.
• Sanitize highly-trafficked spaces which may contain biohazardous waste.
• Even the gloss, polish, or sealant coating on surfaces with a cloth or specialized buffing tool.
• Utilize industrial or commercial grade cleaning products or equipment.
• Works in all areas of the facility.
• Moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors.
• Communicates with maintenance personnel and other facility personnel.
• Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holiday when necessary as well as in other positions as needed.
• May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Required Experience
