Job summary

STG International is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain or restore floors in highly trafficked areas at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, GA. This is a full-time/regular position requiring good English communication and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include cleaning and restoring floor surfaces, sanitizing spaces, applying gloss or sealant, using industrial cleaning equipment, and working flexible hours including weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• On the job training will be provided.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with resident community.
• 1 year experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and/or restore floor surfaces.
• Sanitize highly-trafficked spaces which may contain biohazardous waste.
• Even the gloss, polish, or sealant coating on surfaces with a cloth or specialized buffing tool.
• Utilize industrial or commercial grade cleaning products or equipment.
• Works in all areas of the facility.
• Moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors.
• Communicates with maintenance personnel and other facility personnel.
• Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holiday when necessary as well as in other positions as needed.
• May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
