Job summary

Seneca Health and Rehabilitation in Seneca, SC is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors across the facility. The role offers a full-time schedule, 5 days per week, with pay ranging $13–$14 per hour.

You will strip, wax, buff, and polish floors, move furniture as needed, and follow cleaning schedules while ensuring safety and infection control. On-the-job training and paid orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate commercial floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, polish, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Perform routine floor care in resident rooms, hallways, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Move and replace furniture as needed to complete floor care and cleaning assignments.
• Clean spills and soiled areas promptly to help maintain a safe environment.
• Follow established floor care and cleaning schedules while minimizing disruption to residents.
• Maintain floor care equipment, cleaning supplies, and storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Properly use and store cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies according to safety guidelines.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures while completing daily assignments.
• Identify and promptly report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns.
• Respect residents' personal belongings, privacy, dignity, and rights while working throughout the facility.
• Assist the Housekeeping team with additional cleaning or facility needs as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Previous floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred
• Experience with stripping, waxing, and buffing floors strongly preferred
• Ability to safely operate commercial floor care equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
