Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician in the United States. The technician will perform essential floor care tasks such as waxing and buffing while ensuring a safe and clean work environment. This position is entry-level with no formal education requirements, although some experience is preferred. The compensation ranges from $15.50 to $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care functions such as waxing, stripping, and buffing.

Floor Technician

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performing environmental services as needed, and performing floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment required for assigned tasks.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems and the environment.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs "wet floor".
• Ability to work without normal supervision.
• Report safety hazards as appropriate.

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license; complete all safety and task training certification; may be required to be forklift certified.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Compensation and Shift

Sunday–Wednesday: 6:00am–4:30am, $15.50–$16.00 per hour.
