Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician in New York, NY to perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping, buffing, and routine environmental services. You will follow standards and safety rules while maintaining clean, orderly work areas.

This role requires the ability to read instructions, communicate effectively with team and supervisors, and operate floor cleaning equipment. A forklift certification and safety training may be required, and hours are Mon-Fri 5:30pm to

Qualifications

• No education requirement; 6 months to 1 year experience preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals and safe use.
• May require valid driver’s license and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care: waxing, stripping, buffing and cleaning of tile, carpet, and brick floors.
• Follow safety rules, procedures, and use PPE as required.
• Maintain clean work area and report hazards to supervision.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals per procedure.
• Support shift lead and complete punch-list items as needed.

Title:Floor TechnicianJob Description:Job OverviewThe Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
