Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain our facility's floor finishes and keep spaces clean and orderly for patients, visitors, and staff. The role supports hospital operations with floor cleaning, buffing, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include moving furniture, performing carpet shampooing, and ensuring sanitary, well-kept spaces. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• 6 months of floor care experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in general housekeeping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of floor finishes to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Perform routine facility housekeeping tasks including floor cleaning, buffing, carpet shampooing, and periodic refinishing.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required within facility departments.
• Conduct cleaning tasks such as washing walls, windows, vacuuming ceiling vents, and disposing of trash and linen.
• Uphold a sanitary and organized facility through attention to detail and adherence to schedules and procedures.
