Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Floor Technician to help maintain our facility’s floor finishes and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role includes floor cleaning, buffing, and periodic refinishing, along with moving furniture and supporting housekeeping tasks.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of floor care experience preferred; additional training provided on the job.
• Physical capability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of floor finishes to create a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Perform routine facility housekeeping tasks, including floor cleaning, buffing, carpet shampooing, and periodic floor refinishing.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required within facility departments.
• Conduct cleaning tasks such as washing walls, windows, vacuuming ceiling vents, and disposing of trash and linen.
• Uphold a sanitary and organized facility through attention to detail and adherence to schedules and procedures.
